David VS. Goliath The Generative AI Battle. Why GPT Holds The Market

As we all are aware by now AI has taken over the mainstream market. But it is not the AI researchers where expecting, everyone thought it would be machine learning, not Generative AI. Now for the uninitiated Generative AI is a type of AI made to create content, the most popular AI tool right now is something most have probably heard of ChatGPT (www.chat.openai.com) this is one of the most popular tools having an estimated 100 million users and 1.8 billion site visits per month. 

There are two main players in this David And Goliath battle are ChatGPT and Google. Now ChatGPT definitely had the competitive advantage with it being the first to market. But the reason many annalists believe that Google will come out on top here is because of integration. Now I know you may be wondering what i mean by that, Google services like Google Drive, Google Calendar and so many more are why people believe google will beat ChatGPT. 

Now there may be many more businesses out there based around AI one of the more notable being Microsoft but they are pushing there AI through Microsoft Edge there browser which is why most believe it will never be mainstream. 

With ChatGPT being the underdog (David) not many people thought it could beat out tech giants like Google or Microsoft but these companies rushed to market without a good plan and ChatGPT had the time and market popularity advantage. 

The only way Bard AI will be able to disrupt the market is if they can master the integration into Google services. If it is built in and people can use it seamlessly then Goliath may end up taking control of the market. If they can pull off there marketing campaigns and integrations without it become over-complicated then they give themselves a fighting chance. 

What does the future hold? By now there is no denying that there is a bright future ahead of generative AI and hopefully there will be a diverse range of company’s that own the market instead of one company becoming a Mega-Corp over the in my opinion one of the biggest moves in modern technology since the smartphone. Let’s see where it goes
